Learning to create online opened doors I could never have planned for: work, relationships, opportunities and the ability to reach people far beyond Belfast.
But I also saw how quickly the internet rewards spectacle, certainty and appetite — and how easily attention can begin reshaping the person who receives it.
Faith eventually changed the question from ‘how far can attention take you?’ to ‘what is all this for?’
THE916 grew from that tension. The internet gives ordinary people extraordinary opportunity, but opportunity needs clarity, character and direction if it is going to produce something beyond the self.
The goal is not to keep everything dependent on me, but to build a mission-led company that can grow beyond me and eventually outlast me.
Our conviction is Christian. Our invitation is public. Christian beliefs about truth, human dignity, character, stewardship, service and reconciliation shape the standard behind everything THE916 builds. People do not have to share our faith to receive real value here.
THE916 takes its name from the 9:16 frame of digital culture and Luke 9:16—a picture of placing what we have in Christ's hands and trusting Him to bless and multiply it for others.
