In these terms, “THE916”, “we” and “us” mean that trader. “You” means the person buying membership. Buying a place forms a contract between you and us on these terms.

02What THE916 Collective is

The Collective is a paid membership. It combines structured material you work through, a private community, and live sessions run by Ged Armstrong. Its purpose is to help you make better work, publish it, use current tools well, and open opportunities from what you are already good at.

It is a membership, not a qualification, an accreditation, or a job placement. We do not promise any particular outcome, income, audience, client or result, and nothing on the sales page or in the community should be read as promising one. What you get is access, material, feedback and a room of people working alongside you; what you get out of it depends substantially on what you put in.

03Who can join

You must be at least 18 years old to buy or hold a Collective membership. By purchasing, you confirm that you are.

We do not knowingly sell membership to anyone under 18. If we find that a member is under age, we will end the membership and refund the payment.

Membership is personal to you. It is not transferable and must not be shared with anyone else.

04Price and payment

Founding membership costs £79 GBP. That is a single payment covering your first 12 months. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal — nothing will be charged to you again unless you actively choose to buy something else.

Payment is taken by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Your membership begins when Stripe confirms your payment has succeeded; until then, no place is held for you.

The price shown is the amount you pay. We sell to customers outside the United Kingdom, and depending on where you are, your own country may treat this purchase differently for tax purposes. If your tax position matters to you, check it before you buy.

05The Founding 25

The founding intake is capped at 25 active members. When all 25 places are held, the offer closes.

A place is held for you while you are completing checkout, and becomes yours once payment succeeds. If you do not complete checkout, the place returns to the pool.

You can join after the Guided Cycle has started, for as long as founding places remain. If you do, you get everything already released, you join the cycle where it currently is, and your own 12 months run from your own payment date. The live six-week cycle runs once, on the published dates — it does not restart for later joiners.

06Your membership term

Your membership lasts 12 calendar months from the date your payment succeeds. The payment timestamp recorded by our system is the start date, and your end date is exactly 12 calendar months later.

Both dates are stated in your confirmation email. You do not need to cancel anything at the end — the membership simply ends.

07The Guided Cycle and Workrooms

The first Guided Cycle begins on 5 October 2026 and runs for six weeks. During those six weeks we will run one live Workroom each week, led by Ged. You can bring unfinished work, questions and decisions to it.

Attending is optional. Nothing in your membership depends on turning up.

If we have to cancel a scheduled Workroom, we will either reschedule it or provide an equivalent replacement session.

After the opening six weeks, Workrooms may continue through your membership year. We are not committing to a fixed weekly cadence beyond the opening cycle, and you should not buy on the assumption of one.

08Recordings

Workrooms may be recorded so members can watch them later. Where a session is being recorded, we will tell you at the time.

We may leave material out of a recording — for example where a member has shared something sensitive, or where a critique is specific enough to a person that publishing it would not be fair to them.

We are not promising that every Workroom will be recorded, or that every recording will be published. Where recordings are made available, you can access them while your membership is active, unless we say otherwise for a particular recording.

09Community access

The Founding 25 room opens on 28 September 2026. This is the orientation week before the first Guided Cycle begins.

The private community runs on Skool, which is a third-party platform. Taking part means creating or using an account there and agreeing to Skool's own terms, which are between you and Skool.

We provide your invitation and administer the THE916 space inside it. We do not control the platform itself, and a failure or change at Skool is not something we can prevent. If the community has to move, section 16 applies.

10How members are expected to behave

The room only works if people can bring unfinished work into it. That requires a standard, and it is short. Members must not:

• harass, threaten or intimidate anyone;
• abuse or discriminate against anyone, including on grounds of race, sex, disability, religion or belief, sexual orientation, age or gender reassignment;
• spam the community, or use it primarily to sell to other members;
• impersonate anyone, including Ged or THE916;
• share another person's private personal information without their permission;
• post unlawful material, or material that infringes someone else's rights;
• misuse the community or the platform, including attempting to gain access you have not been given;
• deliberately disrupt sessions or discussions.

Disagreement is not a breach. Directness is not a breach. What is listed above is.

11Your work stays yours

You own your work, your ideas, your content and anything you create. Nothing about joining the Collective changes that, and THE916 makes no claim of ownership over it.

When you post something inside the membership, you give us the limited permission we need to run the space: to host it, display it to other members, and let it be discussed and given feedback on, inside the membership environment. That permission exists so the community can function. It goes no further than that.

If we want to use your work, a screenshot, a comment, a testimonial or your results anywhere outside the private membership — on the website, in marketing, in a case study, anywhere public — we will ask you first, and we will only do it if you say yes.

12THE916's material

THE916 owns the material it creates for the Collective: the curriculum, the lessons, templates, workshop material, recordings we produce, and any proprietary tools we provide.

Your membership gives you a personal, non-transferable right to access and use that material while your membership is active.

You are free to use what you learn in your own work, for yourself or for clients — that is the entire point of the thing. What you may not do is take the material itself and reproduce, republish, resell or distribute it, in whole or in substantial part, or share your access with people who have not paid for it.

13What happens in the room

Members are expected not to screenshot, record, reproduce or publicly share another member's work, comments or conversations without that member's permission.

Be clear about what this is. It is a community rule that we will enforce against members who break it, under section 15. It is not a legal guarantee of confidentiality, it does not create a privileged or protected environment, and we cannot promise that no member will ever break it.

So: treat the room as private and behave accordingly — and use your own judgement about what you post. If something would be genuinely damaging to you if it left the room, think carefully before it goes in.

14Cancellation and refunds

You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of purchase, for any reason. Email hello@the916.com and ask. When a full refund is issued, your membership ends, your access is removed, and your founding place is released for someone else.

After that 14-day window we do not normally give change-of-mind refunds.

This is our own voluntary policy and it sits on top of your legal rights, not instead of them. Nothing here removes or limits any right you have under consumer law, and if the law gives you more than this policy does, the law wins. Our Cancellation & Refund Policy sets this out in full.

15Suspension and termination

If a member seriously or repeatedly breaks the standard in section 10, we may suspend or end their access. For a first or minor problem we will normally raise it with the member first; for serious behaviour — harassment, threats, abuse — we may act immediately.

Where we end a membership for breach, what happens about money depends on the circumstances and on your legal rights. We will deal with it fairly, and we will tell you what we have decided and why. We are not claiming a right to remove anyone for any reason and keep the payment.

You can stop taking part at any time. Outside the 14-day window that does not by itself create a refund.

16If THE916 changes or stops the Collective

The Collective is new and it will change. We may add, adjust or replace material, tools and sessions as we learn what members actually need — that is what joining early means, and it is not a breach of these terms.

If we materially stop providing the Collective before your paid term ends, we will either provide a materially equivalent replacement or route you to it, or refund you for the unused part of your membership. We will tell you which, and we will not simply go quiet.

17After your first year

Your membership does not renew automatically and you will not be charged again.

Before your 12 months end, we may offer you a way to continue. If we do, you decide whether to take it. No future price is guaranteed, and founding pricing is not a promise about what continuing will cost.

18Responsibility and liability

The Collective is training, material and community. It is not professional advice — not legal, financial, tax, medical or business advice — and it is not a substitute for taking proper advice on your own situation. Decisions you make about your work, your money or your business are yours.

We take responsibility for providing the membership with reasonable care and skill, and for the things the law does not allow us to exclude — including death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and fraud.

We are not responsible for outcomes that depend on you or on third parties: results you do or do not get, the behaviour of other members, or failures of platforms we do not control, such as Skool or Stripe.

19Governing law

THE916 operates from the United Kingdom, and these terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer living somewhere else, you may also have the protection of mandatory consumer rules in your own country, and may be able to bring proceedings there. We are not asking you to give that up.
